What to do for Halloween with children in Venice? The Secrets of Venice
How about spending Halloween in Venice with a fun guided tour for the whole family? We offer a treasure hunt tailored for the little ones in an animated guided tour format.
Venice is a historic, romantic, and unique city… but when Halloween arrives, even its darkest secrets resurface.
Mysterious characters and legends that few people know about are hidden among ancient palaces, wells, and small squares (campielli). There is an ancient Book of Secrets of Venice that gathers some of the city’s most mysterious stories. However, its pages have been lost, and on Halloween afternoon, it will be up to you to find them.
You will discover that some stunning palaces did not only host noble families, but also rather shady characters. You will also find out that ancient Venetian wells were not used just for collecting water.
During the tour, each family will be equipped with a paper map, a LED lantern, and a little bell. By following the map and our guide, you will reach some of the most curious and lesser-known spots in Venice. You will use the lantern to shine a light on each new secret, and ring the bell every time a lost page is found. At each stop, the guide will tell you a new story and reveal a brand-new secret.
These are places where Venetians pass down stories and legends, allowing us to take a leap back into the various historical eras of the Serenissima. It is both fun and educationa, perfect for a family Halloween!
But you won’t just be spectators: in the true spirit of Halloween, between one story and the next, you will have to follow clues, solve short riddles, and pass small challenges to recover all the lost pages of the Book of Secrets. Will you manage to piece it back together before Halloween afternoon comes to an end?
