WHY DID WE LIKE THIS EXPERIENCE SO MUCH?
Wine-tasting of Venetian wines: a visit through the eyes of Hemingway
“Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world”
– Ernest Hemingway –
May we suggest you a tour in the footsteps of Hemingway, between tasting and history.
In this cellar, come and meet Ernest Hemingway, where he was treated in 1918, after he had been badly injured during the First World War.
The guided tour begins with a visit of Hemingway’s memorial plaque in Fossalta di Piave, where you’ll hear about the stories that took place in this cellar, during a long night of war.
Visit the vineyards of the property, where one will explain you the growing process, the harvest and all the types of Italian grape.
Pass the cellar to see the magical process of vinification, all the steps and the machines used! Then go to the ageing cellar, where the wines are stored. The visit ends up with a guided wine-tasting of 5 wines produced by the farm – a wonderful mix of smells, tastes, colours, emotions…
