Venice Art School – learn to draw
Learning to draw is an art! Venice is perfect for developing it. Whether you are an adult or a child, you can learn at any age. This experience is for those who want to learn the techniques of drawing skills. The course design is structured in such a way as to allow continuous and constant learning. An assessment of your skill level happens first. If you are already an expert in drawing, the masters will direct you to artistic compositions and more difficult perspectives.
In the company of the master Roberto Mazzetto, through the copying of famous paintings of the past, you will learn the fundamental technique of expressive design!
Venice painting course: watercolour or oil
The course is ideal for those who are passionate about art but have never had the opportunity to experience live drawing and painting, or for those who feel they have something to express.
Watercolor is a quick technique, simple and suitable for everyone. It is an ancient technique that allows you to create any type of design, from the simplest landscapes. Once you have been taught the basics of drawing, how to set the perspective and how to plan your picture you are ready to begin!
Painting a portrait is certainly one of the major types of art. The great masters of the past were so skilled at painting faces, that they could make their works look like real photographs! Depth and plasticity of a face are the crucial elements for a good portrait. But what makes a realistic and truthful drawing is surely the expression on the portrait itself.

During this course, you will be introduced to traditional fine art printmaking techniques including etching, aquatint, drypoint, woodcut and collograph, under the guidance of maestro Florence.
Whether you are an expert or a beginner, you will be able to take part in this course at a Venetian art school, as it is open to anyone who would like to learn something new and distinctive.
Venice school: Engraving etching
With art printing classes in Venice, you will learn how to make wood, zinc and copper plates that can be printed on the press once inked. It will be possible to have several print runs of the same image. During the lessons you will first learn with black and white prints and then with colours.

Along the grand canal, the monumental navigable waterway of Venice, you will find the main museums of the city! It is also the most famous waterway in the world. Reach the gallery of the academy, then proceed to navigate the canal, lapping the banks of Palazzo Vernier, which houses the Peggy Guggenheim private collection. Complete your tour by reaching piazza san marco, where the impressive Doge’s palace stands. A visit to the Doges’ Palace and museum are essential. If you are passionate about art collections, Venice offers you it all! From piazza san marco you can see the island of San Giorgio. We recommend the Giorgio Cini Foundation, which houses the library dedicated to the greatest art of the whole city.
