Treviso airport is a bit further away from Venice than marco polo airport but it is still very accessible. It lies about 25 km from the centre of Venice and 20 km from Mestre. It serves mainly low cost airlines like Ryanair, and is a very popular entry point to the Veneto region and its jewel in the crown, Venice itself.
It is easy to go from Venice or Mestre to Treviso airport using the ATVO bus which runs directly from the terminal into the city center and from Venice Piazzale Roma on a regular basis.
ATVO shuttle to Treviso airport
The Express ATVO Bus from Venice bus station to Treviso airport is a very convenient service for travellers. The special ATVO line connects Treviso Antonio Canova airport to Venice and to nearby Mestre.
The ATVO buses run every day, including holidays, from 8 am to about 10 pm. The departure time is updated every three months and published online..
It is not too expensive either and much cheaper than a taxi. At Piazzale Roma, buy your ticket from an ATVO ticket machine or at the ATVO counter. The ticket price is 12 € one way or € 22 return. Stamp your ticket at the yellow validation machine at the bus stop or on board the bus.
You can also buy your ticket online in advance and show it on your phone as an e-ticket to avoid queues, There is a discount for buying two or more tickets. Alternatively, you can buy the ticket from the ticket office when you get there.

This transfer service is the only one authorised to directly link Venice Piazzale Roma bus stop with Treviso airport. The journey by bus from Treviso airport to Venice – Mestre is about 40 minutes.
This is a very convenient transfer solution if you are staying in Mestre.
How does the e-ticket work?
If you purchase your bus ticket online you will receive a confirmation email with the electronic tickets purchased attached.
