The airport shuttle – the best value option

A cheaper, solution for the journey from Treviso airport to Venice is to choose the Treviso airport express bus, from ATVO. The atvo bus service is available from 8 am to 11 pm with departures every 40 minutes. Departures are coordinated with flight arrivals and so even if you arrive on the last plane of the evening, and even if it’s late, the  ATVO bus is waiting for you!
This bus is also the only direct connection to Piazzale Roma with two short stops in Mestre. The first bus stop is at the Corsi Di Popolo and the second is at Mestre Railway station. The price is 12 € for a single fare and 22 € for a return ticket. Wi – Fi is free and unlimited on board.
Other companies provide transfer services from Treviso airport to Venice city center but all stop at Isola Nuova del Tronchetto, from where only vaporetto line 2 runs which will extend your journey even more.

How to reach Mestre from Treviso airport

From Treviso airport there are two ways to get to Mestre


Private Taxi: in 30 minutes you will be at your hotel; prices starting from € 65
ATVO airport shuttle to Mestre: the same bus that goes to Venice makes an intermediate stop in Corso del Popolo (in front of the Corso theater and at the BNL bank) and one at the Venezia – Mestre station. From both stops you can easily reach your hotel on foot. The price is always € 12 per ride while the journey time is about 15 -20 minutes shorter than the trip to Piazzale Roma.

How much time will it take to get to your accommodation?


Especially if you have booked a B & B or an apartment for your stay in Venice, you might want to leave a good couple of hours for the transfer depending on the traffic and whether it is rush hour or not. Going to the airport make sure you allow time so that you are there an hour before domestic flights and two hours before international departures,
