During the festival, participants dressed in historical costumes will have the opportunity to travel back in time while listening to Baroque music, famous arias and, most importantly, have fun while learning the basic steps of 18th century group dances under the guide of the Dance Teachers.

In the historic Salone del Ridotto, an elegant and fun evening of masquerade awaits you with a unique journey back in time through the great music of the 1800s with the classical orchestra, its famous arias with a duet of opera singers, and the Balli d’Epoca led by the fantastic Ballet Masters.

This masquerade party with a Romantic atmosphere was much appreciated in the previous edition. Book your ticket to the Ballo Minuetto 1800 as well and treat yourself to a trip back in time to the heart of the Serenissima.

Those who wish to hire the historical costume together with the purchase of the ticket can choose from a wide variety of unique models, all handmade in Venice. After the purchase you will receive an email from the atelier to arrange an appointment to choose and try on the dress.

The costumes offered by the atelier are of three categories according to quality and type – STANDARD and SUPERIOR. Here are the more detailed descriptions:

• STANDARD category: period costumes inspired by 18th and 19th century European fashion with quality fabrics and trimmings. Unique models not mass-produced and made in Venice.
• SUPERIOR category: more elaborate period costumes inspired by the fashion of European courts in the 18th and 19th centuries with fine fabrics and trimmings. Unique models not mass-produced and made in Venice.

The dress rental includes:

For women: the costume plus all the essential accessories (petticoats, panier or cages) and any accessories that are part of the costume itself (handbags, strangles, brooches, etc.).

For men: the costume plus all essential accessories (shirt, jabot, tights, shoe bows).

All other accessories, such as hats, masks, wigs, capes, etc., are not included in the price, but are not compulsory, with costs varying depending on the model.

After the ticket has been purchased, an email arrives with a request for measurements and a proposal of available costumes. Further, an appointment for a fitting in the atelier must be arranged shortly before the date of the event.
